A Time At Camp Red Arrow
Today my three daughters and I took the day to go and help volunteer at a CBM (Children’s Bible Ministries) camp located right here in Stevensburg, VA. Thomas and Samantha Burnett are a part of MVCC and Thomas serves as the camp director. They, along with a large team of volunteers, are trying to get this new camp open by the summer. I was impressed with all that has been done so far, but humbled by all that needs to be done before June. After today’s experience, I’m hoping to rally some of the MVCC family to adopt a project at the camp and raise both financial and volunteer support to complete at least one of the projects in the next six weeks.
This summer kids from all over the region will descend on this campus and will come face to face with the gospel of Jesus Christ. What a beautiful thought! As I drove away from there, proud to have served with my kids for the day, I wondered to myself…”How many Mountain Viewers even know this place exists?” (I’d never been to Camp Red Arrow until today. It used to be the Washington Redskins spring training facility), and “Lord, what role will you have us play in getting this camp ready for opening day?” I wait to discover how God answers that second question. If you want to know more about Camp Red Arrow take a look at their website at www.campredarrow.com .

1) knew Camp Red Arrow existed, don’t know where it is nor did I know it used to be the Redskins Training Facility
2)May I suggest a list of all that still needs done so we can figure out how to answer the 2nd question
