Gary Chiles, Elder

Gary ChilesGary was born in Hampton, Virginia, and at the age of two his parents purchased a farm and moved to Bealeton, Virginia. He was involved in church from an early age. Gary’s journey of life includes being a part of a youth rally team that traveled the east coast where he finally realized that he knew all about God but did not know Him. He was in Spartanburg, South Carolina, at a youth rally on a warm July night and decided that he needed God in his heart and not just his head. Upon returning back to his home church, Gary was baptized and started his new journey of life letting God lead him through many doors. Gary served in a Youth Director position at two different churches, and led a back yard bible school and youth rally mission team for five years located in Eagle Butte, South Dakota, on the Sioux Indian Reservation. God allowed him to serve ten years as Senior Pastor at two different churches. Gary has taken continuing education classes at Washington Bible College and Liberty University.

In 2007, Gary found his best friend one thousand miles away and her name is Sharon. God put them together, and between the two of them, they have five children and twelve grandchildren. They enjoy RVing and sharing God’s love wherever they go. Gary’s “One Word” for 2015 is “faithful” and that is his goal in life…to always try to be faithful to God’s will in his life and to be His servant to share His love with all that he comes in contact with.
