Ministry Teams
Mountain View is a small part of God’s universal household called the Church. And to be a part of a household is to be a part of a family. Because God calls us to be members of His family, we believe that every Christian needs to actively participate in a church family. In a healthy family, each member plays together, works together, guards each other, rejoices together during happy times and encourages one another during trials. God does not bring people into this Mountain View family by accident. No one stumbles into authentic community; we believe each person works together to build it. We strive to be men and women who have God’s passion to share the “good news” (Eph 3:10). We encourage and equip one another to continuously seek a richer, more mature application of the Scriptures and enrich our witness through discipleship, training, ministry opportunities, and Life Groups (Eph 4:11-13; Ac 2:42).
Here are a few of the ways God is using us as tools for building His Kingdom by reaching others and growing ourselves. Consider getting involed in one of these ministry teams.
Cross View
Cross View’s desire is to be a unified team of humble worship musicians who delight themselves in God. It’s not about the music. It’s not about us. It’s all about the Lord Jesus Christ.
As we focus on Jesus, we’re also called to serve the people, to provide our best to facilitate their entering in to worship God with us. We cannot make this happen, only the Holy Spirit can draw them to worship as He reveals Christ to them. Our worship is our response to His revelation. As He reveals Himself, we find ourselves worshiping Him. Jesus is the center-stage focus of our worship gatherings, not the music. Mountain View’s music ministry exists to glorify God by leading people to worship God through music. The music element of CrossView is not the only way to serve in The View. There are opportunities to use technical skills, as well as expressive talents to serve God as you serve others.

Marriage Matters

Our Mission:
“To minister, encourage and disciple individuals and couples to attain and foster God-honoring marriages through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe when couples are empowered through personal spiritual growth in a community of believers, accountability with others, and application of the Scriptures in our daily lives, a passion for the marriage covenant is cultivated. It is our desire to empower couples by offering marriage mentors, small groups, marriage retreats, marital classes, pre-marital counseling and community events. It is also our desire to extend our programs beyond the boundaries of church and community, and equip other churches abroad.”
Our Vision
“To build, strengthen, and restore marriages on the foundation of Christ.”
Mentoring
The Marriage Mentoring Ministry is a team of couples that are passionate about marriage and God’s design for marriage. It is our desire to train and disciple imperfect couples, like ourselves, to join us in building strong and healthy marriages and families.
“Working with our mentors really changed the way that we viewed marriage. Not only did it give us the opportunity to prepare for marriage as a couple, it gave both of us the opportunity to grow as a child of Christ. Our mentors are still our biggest supporters and are now our best friends. We’d recommend MVCC’s Marriage Ministry to newly engaged couples, struggling couples, and even strong couples.” Chris & Heidi White

First Impressions Team
The First Impressions Team consists of friendly people who desire to create an atmosphere of warmth and welcome to every guest who visits us. Dedicated to ensuring every visitor has an enjoyable and meaningful experience, the F.I.T. team is focused on not only welcoming every person who enters, but will happily guide you step-by-step through the registration process if you have children and be available to answer any questions you may have. The greeter will walk with you to your child’s class, introduce you to the teacher, and explain our security procedures. If your child has any special needs, please let us know so that we can make your child’s time with us enjoyable. Each greeter will show you to the auditorium, acquaint you with the facility, and encourage you to avail yourself with resources about Mountain View.
Participating in this ministry has been a blessing to many members of Mountain View. If you enjoy meeting people and making others feel welcome, we encourage you to try participating one week. You’ll soon discover the joy bringing a smile to the face of others can bring! Feel free to contact us at FIT@mountainviewcc.net.
Set Up/Tear Down Ministry
Being a “portable church” (one that meets in a school or facility other than their own) creates a significant need for volunteers to help on a weekly basis, unloading and loading supplies, setting up and repacking equipment, and preparing the facility to receive guests and members. The dedicated and tireless efforts of these laborers of love are essential to Mountain View effectively reaching our community for Christ. Would you like to join them? Please contact Office@mountainviewcc.net.
Audio/Visual Ministry
It takes a dedicated crew of volunteers to run our tech arts each week. If you’re a person that has an ear for good sound and an eye for what look good on the screen, we’d love to introduce you to the team. This is a group that will train those who are passionate but have little experience. If you’d like to know more contact us at office@mountainviewcc.net.
