Good Friday Service
Pastor Mark Jenkins, Speaking
Someone once said that a fate worse than death is public shame. God cries out to a stubborn humanity today, “How long, O men, will you turn my glory into shame?” (Psalm 4:2) On this Friday before Resurrection Sunday, we will look at the shameful “honors” offered to the long-awaited King by the blinded people of Israel. But, before we point fingers, may we reflect on our sinful rebellion that still today brings shame to our Lord and to ourselves. May this service of worship and communion offer you an opportunity to experience the “salvation” that can come from godly sorrow handled properly.
