Kidz View, Jr.

February 2018

This month we are beginning a new, fun curriculum series called: Kid Spring. Each week our boys and girls will have the opportunity to express themselves through worship songs, a small group time where children gather with a small group leader to spend time building relationships, reading a Bible story, playing games, and learning how to apply what they learned. I believe the changes will be embraced by the children and I would love to hear feedback from the boys and girls.

In this series, as kids learn how to love God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength, they will see how to take their relationship with Him to a new level–OFF THE RAILS!

DO THIS:

FAMILY DEVOTION
________________________________________
For a fun activity, this month cut out some paper hearts of any size and color. Then with your help, encourage your sons and daughters to go on a hunt through the Bible for heart messages from God. For example 1 John 4:10 says, “This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” Heart messages from this verse might include: God loved first or God loved and sent us Jesus or God loved and took away my sin. Happy hunting and happy hiding God’s word in your heart as a family.

ON MISSION
________________________________________
This month at the church in the hospitality foyer, you will have an opportunity to choose a boy or girl from Appalachia and pack a shoe box that the Hope for Appalachia Mission Team team can bring with them in April. I can share first hand that the items you pack inside these boxes are both needed and appreciated. I hope you will take this opportunity to be on mission with your son or daughter. Perhaps you can shop together and include them in the purchasing of these necessary items; socks, toothbrushes, school supplies, etc…Together, the boys and girls at MVCC can make a difference in the lives of boys and girls in West Virginia and Kentucky. Let’s show God’s love by giving to those who need it most.
