Captain Eugene "Red" McDaniels is the former commander of the Aircraft carrier USS Lexington. Captain McDaniel's plane was shot down over North Vietnam. For six years he was a prisoner of war of the brutal Communists, and for all six years he found strength over despair through the power of God.
