WHAT WE BELIEVE

We know for a fact that there is a lot of diversity in thought and interpretation when it comes to understanding scripture.  We invite open dialogue on matters of faith and doctrine.  And when we find ourselves getting frustrated or losing unity over interpretation, we remind ourselves of what we have in common in the shed blood of Jesus Christ.  We strive to keep the unity by focusing on what we have in common and allowing that to be the platform from which we debate other areas of faith and doctrine.  There is room at MVCC for great dialogue, debate and even disagreement.  At the end of the day, it is our prayer that from the staff, to life group leaders, to the members, that we will seek truth and defend truth at all costs, but we will also display an attitude of humility toward one another and prefer another over ourselves when possible.
