The Pause Questions

Questions #1: IDENTITY — Whose voice is defining who I am? What voices of performance, failure, shame, fear, or comparison am I allowing to shape my identity more than what God says about me in Christ? 

Question #2: GRACE — Where am I still trying to earn what God has already given me? Am I truly resting in God's grace, or am I living as though God's acceptance depends upon my performance, accomplishments, or ability to "do enough"?

Question #3:CHOSEN — How does knowing God chose me change the way I see myself? If God's love for me began before I ever did anything to deserve it, what insecurity, fear, or sense of unworthiness should I surrender to Him?

Question #4. REDEEMED — What part of my past am I still allowing to define me? Do I genuinely believe that the grace of God is greater than my failures, that the blood of Christ is greater than my past, and that forgiveness in Christ is complete?

Question #5. SEALED — Am I living like someone who truly belongs to God?  If the Holy Spirit is God's seal and guarantee that I belong to Him, how should that assurance change the way I face my fears, my future, my struggles, and my daily decisions?
