Message Notes

Philip served the Ethiopian by explaining the Scriptures to him, leading him to salvation and baptism.  Believers can find ways to serve those around us, meeting needs before we share the story of God.

The Pause Questions

1. What do you believe that God has told you to do that you are waiting on more information on before taking that step of faith and doing it?

2. The devil wants us to believe our doubts and doubt our beliefs. God is the opposite; He wants us to believe our beliefs and doubt our doubts. Take time to reflect on this, what area of your life do you need to believe your beliefs?

3. What quality of Philip did you like the most? Servant, available, faith, willingness to rely on the Spirit? What qualities has God given you that you can use to encourage those you come into contact with?

4. I [Scott Strand] asked earlier in the message "Who is your one?"  I invite everyone to write down a name of someone that you are praying for.  A neighbor. A coworker. A son. A daughter. A friend. A teammate.

5. Take time to read Isaiah 53. Do you see Jesus in this chapter? Take time to reflect on it.
