The Pause Questions

1. Where might passion be outrunning formation in my life?

Apollos was sincere, gifted, and bold, yet he still needed deeper understanding. Is there an area where I'm serving, leading, speaking, or living for Christ but still need to grow in knowledge, wisdom, or maturity? What is one truth God may be inviting me to learn, relearn, or understand more fully right now?

2. Am I still teachable?

When was the last time I allowed someone to speak truth into my life? When someone lovingly challenges me, corrects me, or opens God's Word with me, how do I respond? What does my response reveal about my humility and desire to keep growing?

3. Who are my Priscilla & Aquila?

Who has God placed in my life to help shape me spiritually? Am I intentionally seeking relationships that encourage, challenge, and deepen my walk with Jesus? Who has played a significant role in my spiritual formation, and have I thanked God for them recently? 

4. Who is God calling me to invest in? 

Priscilla and Aquila didn't simply grow themselves—they helped someone else grow. Who might God be asking me to encourage, mentor, teach, or walk alongside in their faith journey? Who is one person I could intentionally encourage or disciple this summer? 

5. How is my spiritual growth leading me outward?

After Apollos was further formed, he became more effective in serving God's mission. How is my learning helping me love Christ more deeply and engage others more faithfully with the gospel? If my neighbors, coworkers, classmates, or family watched my life, would they see someone being formed by Christ and engaged in His mission?
