Josh

My faith story can best be summed up with David’s words in Psalm 40:2-3, “He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.   He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.  Many will see and fear the Lord, and put their trust in Him.”  My life and my heart was a mess.  When at my lowest, I was introduced to Jesus, truly hearing the redemptive message of the Gospel for the first time.  That day began a radical transformation from the inside out.  The joy, hope, and purpose that I found in Christ has been the fuel that drives me to share God’s love with others.

God gave me a partner in ministry in my wife, Tammy.  Genesis 2:24 says that two shall become one.  In our case, two have become united in one purpose: sharing with others that life is better when we trust God and His ways.  We found a home at Mountain View.  The authenticity and passion of the people that make up this church strengthened the desire we had to serve God by serving others.  As Christians, we have been given the joy of the Lord.  With that said, we believe wholeheartedly in having fun in life.  In marriage, in service, in work, in play, in worship… smile because you are loved by the God of creation.  We are excited at the opportunity to ignite this same joy in those attending Mountain View each week.

Life has tried to teach me many things, but God has always taught what is good, true, right, and worthy of praise.  It is my privilege to be a part of this team of believers who desire to make Christ known, in spite of myself and because of His love.
