Scott

I grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and attended the Catholic church with my family. Even though I grew up attending church, I knew there was more to a relationship with God than what I was experiencing. As a young adult, I began seeking a deeper relationship with God. In 1983, I met my future wife, Carolyn, while attending school in Tallahassee, FL. We were married in 1985 and began attending a Presbyterian church and eventually both came to see our need for Christ and accepted Him as Savior in 1987. We moved to Virginia and attended Alliance Bible Church where I served in many positions, including Deacon and Elder.

We began attending MVCC in 2016 and were drawn by the passion the people displayed for God and their desire to see Christ shared in the community of Culpeper and throughout the world. On most Sundays, you will find me in the A/V booth serving on the Live Stream team. I also enjoy serving on the Cleaning Team and leading a Life Group. Throughout these years, God has grown my faith in Him and His plans and purposes. The more I pursue Him the more He shows me how I can serve Him by serving others. I consider myself a spiritual “work in progress” and I am continually amazed at God’s grace and mercy.

For the past 27 years, I have worked as a Network Engineer at a company here in Culpeper.  Some of my favorite speakers/authors are Andy Stanley, Francis Chan, and Skye Jethani. My wife and I enjoy spending time with our three children and granddaughter.
